Greetings: This month, of all that I read, what stood out for me is the question of online trust, uppermost in our minds. It is about that queasy feeling that nags at all of us... And which one of us isn't affected by the advent of "fake news?" But here we have a positive take...  The power of the smartphone among tweens and teens has gotten most of us unhinged, but now that ongoing fear has risen a notch. Twitter is "a-changing" on us. Imagine if the top of your feed was mostly tweets from so-called influencers, with a bunch of tweets from brands thrown in for good measure.  It would be a fundamentally different tool.  And finally, an article in Fast Company gives us tips as to how to strengthen our strengths.  Maybe you missed some of it, but here it is...

The agency's NY team welcomed Hayley Jones as the newest Account Coordinator this month. A recent graduate from USC's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, she recently took on the adventure of moving to NYC. She will be working on clients SodaStream, LEO, and several other agency accounts. 

Agency President Stefan Pollack and Account Supervisor Jackie Liu (both USC Alumni) are headed "back-to-school" for the fall semester as Adjunct Professors at USC's Annenberg School for Communications and Journalism. This is Stefan's 16th year teaching, and Jackie's third. #FightOn 

And We Add A Few Client Highlights…

The news that moviegoers can now see as many movies as they wish in one month for a subscription of $9.95/month, rocked the industry. This was made possible by HMNY's purchase of a majority share in a Netflix co-founder's company, MoviePass. Both companies went on a whirlwind media blitz to celebrate its national roll-out.

RKF Chairman & CEO Robert Futterman visited The Real Deal at their new Hudson Yards headquarters in Manhattan and shared his thoughts in a video interview about how e-commerce will bolster brick-and-mortar retail, what Amazon's major play for Whole Foods Market means for the industry, and what he thinks is in store for New York's retail market.
