There’s a new app coming from Facebook’s experimental consumer-facing app division, and it is called Whale. The app lets users decorate photos with text and stickers so that they can create memes to share on social or text to friends. There is one advantage against the many other image-editing app competitors — it is free to use without in-app purchases or subscriptions.

Coty, an international beauty brand, has bought 51% of Kylie Cosmetics for $600 million as it aims to drive digital growth. Coty will lead manufacturing, distribution, commercial, and go-to-market strategies for the Kylie Cosmetics portfolio, while Kylie Jenner and her team will lead creative efforts in product and communications areas. By acquiring the digitally native brand, Coty expands its presence in premium cosmetics and skincare both domestically and overseas.

Amazon’s free, ad-supported music tier is not just for Alexa devices anymore, the service is now accessible through the Amazon Music app. This launch is also a push for Amazon to utilize its widespread presence to bring in more people and ultimately get them into creating a Prime membership. Users can access the app on Android, iOS, and are still limited to listening to playlists and stations based on artists, genres, songs, and eras.
